The angle finder for all Leica M cameras (except the first M3 series made in 1954) extends the range of uses of the Leica M system. It shows a true sided upright circular section from the center of the viewfinder image, approx. 8.7mm in size, and with its 45o angled and freely rotating sight makes it easier to assess the subject in all situations where the photographer does not want to hold the camera in front of his eyes, e.g. reproductions. When used for close-ups of subjects close to the ground using the LEICA MACRO-ELMAR-M 90mm f4, it allows a much more comfortadle body position.
